Create a Lasting Impact

Sowing Seeds

Planting Seeds

Your gifts will help us fulfill our mission to responsibly fund the advancement of Old World Wisconsin, and lead to our vision of a future where lessons of the past ignite curiosity, inspire learning, and foster a deeper understanding of our diverse cultural heritage.

The Legacy Society sows financial seeds which will be harvested by Old World Wisconsin Foundation (aka Old World Foundation) to benefit Old World Wisconsin for years to come. Established by Old World Wisconsin Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the Legacy Society recognizes those who have included Old World Wisconsin Foundation in their estate plans.

The Legacy Society is open to everyone who wants to be a part of something special. Members share intent to include Old World Foundation in their estate plan, either in their will, trust, insurance policy, or other arrangement at death. No minimum amount is required, as this is a personal decision for each member based on their circumstances.

MAKE A GIFT OF STOCK OR OTHER APPRECIATED ASSETS

MAKE A GIFT OF RETIREMENT ASSETS - Currently people age of 70 ½ or over can transfer up to $100,000 to charity tax-free each year. These transfers, known as qualified charitable distributions or QCDs, offer eligible older Americans a great way to easily give to charity before the end of the year. And, for those who are at least 73 years old, QCDs count toward the IRA owner's required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year.

ENDOWMENT FUNDS - Additionally, Old World Foundation currently holds eight endowment funds used to fund projects and programs in perpetuity. With a gift of $50,000 or more, you can create a named endowment fund. The principal amount of the original gift need not meet the minimum dollar requirement if the donor contractually agrees to fully fund the endowment at the minimum dollar requirement within a specified period of time.

Gifts of $250 or more can be made to any existing endowment fund at any time.
